What is bullion? 

Gold, Silver, platinum and palladium in the form of bars or ingots. Some central banks use bullion for settlement of international debt, and some investor purchase bullion as a hedge against inflation.


Why is your price higher than the spot price of precious metals?

The 'spot price’ of precious metals is a speculative trading price which all precious metal businesses are based upon. It is a base price of the metal in raw form and does not include costs such as minting, insuring, shipping, etc.


Do you have a minimum order?  

There is no minimum order requirement for Canadian and American investors; however, there is a $1,500 CAD/USD (as applicable) minimum for international orders.


When does my price get locked in? 

The price is locked in as soon as you complete the checkout process and submit the order. Up until this point, the prices in the shopping cart will continue to change with the market until you finalize the order.


Are there any hidden charges, fees or commissions?

Our brokerage fee and shipping & handling fees are quoted in your checkout order. There are no additional charges, fees or commissions. The price you are quoted is the price you will pay.


Do you have the bullion in stock?

At any time, our physical inventory of various forms of bullion could vary, however, our policy since the beginning is that we do not offer to sell any precious metals that we cannot ship immediately.


Is there a cost to open an account?

No, there are no costs associated with opening account. In fact, you may open as many accounts for free, however, our rewards system does not allow points to be transferable.


Do you sell my personal information? 

No. A-Precious Metals does not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information without your consent. For more information, please review our PRIVACY POLICY.


Do you report my purchase(s) to the CRA/IRS? 

No. The $10,000 rule only applies to cash transactions. Since A-Precious Metals does not accept cash instruments over $10,000, there is no reporting when you order from us.


Why does A-Precious Metals use a Mailing Box Address?

Due to the nature of our business we use a mail box to limit the amount of drop in business. When dealing with precious metals we take extra precautions. Due to the nature of our industry and for security reasons, all facilities are private.


Do I have to pay TAX on bullion orders?

Tax is only only applied on precious metals that are less than 99.99% purity. There is no taxes are not charged on 99.5% + pure for gold bullion and 99.9% for silver, platinum and palladium bullion.

Orders over $20 000 CAD/USD

All submitted orders with a with a total value that is greater than $20,000 and up to and including $40,000 USD/CAD (as applicable) must have to have at least 10% of the total value of the order(s) in cleared funds with A-Precious Metals Inc. In the alternative, you can place an order, however, 10% of the total order must be received by us before 4:00PM EST on the same business day of placed order to secure the purchase price.

*Upon proof of receipt, up to $30 will be reimbursed for bank wire fees on secure order payments. (not for full payments)


Can I place an order by phone?

Yes,  our trading desk is open from Monday-Friday 9:30am-5:00pm.  


Why do you need my Credit Card information even though I have opted for a different method of payment?

Since your order is a binding contract, regardless of what method your payment method, we use your credit card information to secure the order. There will be no charges towards your credit card unless you cancel your order or if we fail to receive your payment within the applicable time period. At that point, A-Precious Metals may charge you the market loss fees to your credit card. MARKET LOSS POLICY


Can I change my payment method after my order has been placed? 

We prefer that you do not because complications and errors may occur with the change. However, change in method payment is possible when the order amount is correlate with the accepted method of payment.

 Ex.  Orders under $149 or not eligible for the bill payment, telpay and Bank wire 

What happens if you do not receive my payment in the allocated time frame? 

If full payment is not received by 4:00PM EST the next business day, we, at our discretion may; accept your order, refresh the quote based on the market price at the time we receive the payment or cancel your order and implement the conditions of our MARKET LOSS POLICY.


Can I make a direct deposit into your account when paying for my order?

We highly suggest that customers reframe from depositing funds directly into our account. Since we receive no information from the sending account, the probability of your order not being recognized by our system and thus being considered as a missed payment is greatly increased. Funds that are deposited directly will held for 15 days in order verify the payment and shipped there on after.    


I have paid for my order. Why is my account still pending?

Please allow 1-3 days for your payment to be processed through the bank to our system. You will receive a confirmation email once your payment has been applied to our account. Please contact us if you have not received a confirmation email or if your account has still not moved to processing after 3 days of your payment.



Why are tracking numbers not provided on credit card orders?

Due to the increased fraudulent activities in the precious metals industry, providing tracking numbers only increases the possibility of fraudulent activates. Therefore, to protect A-Precious Metals and our valued customers, we do not provide the tracking numbers fort credit card orders.


What currencies does A-Precious Metals accept?
We currently accept payments in Canadian and US Dollars. 



How do you wrap your packages?

All our orders are carefully and discretely packaged. There will be no indication of its contents on the outside of the package and the return address will use acronym “APM” along with our address.


How long will it take for my order to arrive?

Most orders are usually processed and shipped within 1 to 2 business days of receiving your cleared payment. We do not ship on Saturday, Sunday, or holidays


Is your shipping insured?

Yes, all shipments are 100% insured, meaning that you’re guaranteed to receive your order.


Will you ship to an address other than my billing address?

Yes, your package can be shipped to any name and address that you specify. However, due to fraudulent activity in the precious metals industry, payment sent via credit card will only shipped to the billing address.


Can I pick up my order?

Yes, after you have submitted your order, A-Precious Metals will email you the information necessary to pick your order. 


International orders

Is there a minimum amount for orders?

Yes, for all international orders(excluding USA), unless paying by credit card, there will be a minimum order amount of 1,500 USD.


What International countries do you currently ship to?

 We are currently shipping to: USA, UK, Germany, Switzerland, Ireland , New Zealand, Australia


What payment Methods are available for international orders?

For international order payment can be made through wire transfers or  PayPal.


Are there any other fees?

Depending on your country and financial institute, when sending a wire, banks often use other banks to transmit their wires to get to the final destination. When banks use other financial institute to transfer money, the foreign bank may charge a service fee. Thus, international orders (excluding USA) should send an additional $40 USD/CAD to cover those possible fees. Any remaining balance will be refunded by A-Precious Metals Inc. to your bank account.


Is full value declared for the package on customs forms?

Yes, A-Precious Metals will always declare full value on all customs forms. There are no exceptions


Do I have to pay VAT?

A-Precious Metals will not charge any VAT on any products. All customs and duties related to the products are the customer’s responsibility. International customers should call their respective customs office to find out what implication/cost that might occur with importing precious metals.


 Do you ship to US territories and possessions?  

Yes, we ship to all US territories and possessions


What happens if I refuse delivery or I am un-available to accept my international shipment? 

If you decline to pay duties or taxes, or if the carrier was not able to deliver your shipment, you will be responsible for any return shipping fees, additional duties, or applicable taxes for returning the package back to A-Precious Metals. Also,  we will not reship your order until we are paid in full for any return shipping costs, duties, taxes we have had to pay or advance for you as well as any subsequent re-ship fees back to you.  Thus, STRONGLY suggest making yourself aware of any duties or taxes before packages are shipped to avoid surprises

What happens if I don't send in the precious metals after a price has been confirmed? 

Your transaction may be cancelled if you do not call by the end of the following business day with the registered mail or tracking number. Additionally, you will be liable to cover any market loss we incurred by accepting the order to buy from you. This is covered in our “MARKET LOSS POLICY”.  Furthermore, you will not be permitted to buy or sell to us in the future. If you call in with the registered mail or tracking number and we do not receive the items within 5 business days and the delay is due to the Postal Canada, Purlator, UPS or Federal Express, we will extend the deadline on a case by case basis.
